Our Objective
The formal LCG secretariat has been established in June 2022 following the decision made at the GoB-DP Plenary meeting held in November 2021. Beforehand, the secretariat functions were covered by the Development Effectiveness (DE) Wing of ERD and RCO. The LCG Secretariat provides organizational and secretarial services to the LCG mechanism. Promoting an inclusive approach, the LCG Secretariat is engaged to support, coordinate and facilitate communication and coordination within and among the different dialogue forums.

Who We Are
The LCG Secretariat comprises members from the officials of DE wing, ERD and UNRC Office. The Wing Chief of the DE Wing, ERD acts as the Coordinator of the Secretariat.
- Functions
Our Work
The LCG Secretariat is accountable to the Chair and Co-chair of LCG Plenary, and according to the ToR, performs the following key functions:
Co-Ordination
Provide support to the LCG mechanism to ensure coordination between LCG Plenary and WGs.
Co-Operation
Facilitate the functions of all the LCG WGs towards ensuring effective development cooperation.
Information Exchange
Facilitate information exchange between WGs, and other forums of the LCG mechanism.
Support
Support the preparation, implementation and follow-up actions of the BDF.
